How to use the generator set?

The voltage change rate of the generator set is about 20 ~ 40%. General industrial and household loads require the voltage to remain basically unchanged. Therefore, with the increase of load current, the excitation current must be adjusted accordingly. Although the change trend of adjustment characteristics is just opposite to that of external characteristics, it increases for inductive and pure resistive loads, and generally decreases under capacitive loads.

1. When the diesel generator set is working, the operation between two fuel injections is called a working cycle. In the four stroke, this cycle needs to be completed by four different strokes of the piston, namely suction, compression, expansion and exhaust.

2. The combination of suction and exhaust with compression and expansion is a two-stroke unit. During two-stroke cycle operation, the piston rises from its bottom (i.e. bottom dead center), the air inlet and exhaust valve are open, fresh air is filled into the cylinder, and the residual exhaust gas in the previous stroke can be discharged from the air valve;

3. When the piston runs upward to about one fifth of its stroke, the air inlet and exhaust valve close, and the temperature and pressure rise to a very high value;

4. When the piston reaches the top of the stroke (i.e. top dead center), the fuel valve injects the fuel into the high-temperature air in the cylinder. The fuel burns immediately and the pressure rises rapidly. Therefore, the expanded fuel gas forces the piston to move downward in the power stroke;

5. When the piston moves down to half the stroke, the exhaust valve opens, and the high-temperature gas begins to flow out due to its own pressure, which is assisted by the fresh air entering the air port. The air inlet opens with the further downward movement of the piston, and then another cycle begins.

matters needing attention

Generally, the unit and other electrical equipment have packing boxes. During handling, pay attention to tie the lifting steel cable at the appropriate part of the machine, and lift and place it gently.

When lifting the unit for installation, first connect the protruding lifting point on the underframe, and then check whether it has been firmly hung, whether the welding joint has cracks, whether the bolts are tightened, etc.

Once the machine is off the ground, use a guide rope to prevent the wire rope from twisting or the machine from swinging. When the unit is put down, it shall be placed in a place that can bear the weight of the generator.

If the generator is hoisted, a single point suspension device shall be installed. The standard machine with canopy has a single point suspension device. After the unit is transported to the destination, if it needs to be stored, it should be placed in the warehouse.

If there is no warehouse to store in the open air, the box shall be padded up to prevent rain erosion, and the box shall be covered with rainproof shed cloth to prevent damage to the equipment by sunlight and rain.
