What is the function of generator base tank

Generator base tank is mainly used to store a large amount of fuel oil for the unit. Oil can be supplied to it through the supply pipeline, the connection port should be convenient for the oil truck to access, and to be closed by the lock box. The oil tank shall be equipped with an oil indicator and an overflow alarm device connected to the level switch.
When the intermediate tank is used, an electric fuel transfer pump shall be installed. The pump shall be as close as possible to the storage tank and have sufficient power to transport the fuel oil. The storage tank shall be used in conjunction with the following facilities:
1) Isolation device during cleaning or repair (when multiple turbulent tanks are installed)
2) Supply port
3) Breathing mouth
4) Overflow connection of middle tank
5) 18-inch diameter orifice
6) Liquid level indicator or oil gauge
7) The supply pipeline at the opposite end of the sewage drain
8) Filter and belly valve (where necessary)
The oil storage tank shall be raised by 50 mm to meet the 4-hour fire protection standard and meet the requirements of medium heat convection.
All above ground oil tanks shall be built with a protective building, with the following requirements:
1) Large enough that there should be at least 10% more space left than the tank capacity
2) The floor is equipped with a leakproof oil collection tank
3) Walls and floors should have passageways
4) Prepare a manual or electric pump system
5) The metal parts shall be grounded according to the local specifications
For underground oil storage tanks, underground excavation size should be easy to install; During the installation process, the bohu layer of the oil tank should be avoided to be damaged; Attention should also be paid to stones and metals during backfilling.
