Final handover of pangkalansusu thermal power project in Indonesia

On May 31, Sinohydro Bureau 8 received the final handover Certificate (FAC) from Indonesia State Power Corporation (Indonesia), indicating that the pangkalansusu thermal power project constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 8 was finally handed over and the project performance was successfully completed.

Pangkalansusu 2 constructed by No.8 Hydropower Bureau × 200MW coal-fired power station, located in pangkalansusu District, rankat County, North Sumatra province, Indonesia, is the third EPC project of coal-fired power station undertaken by the eighth Hydropower Bureau in Indonesia after Aceh and Dongjia. Pangkalansusu coal fired power plant project is a new 2x200 MW 3 & 4 unit based on the original power plant. The project started on May 4, 2015, successfully completed the performance test and put into commercial operation on September 5, 2019, and became the first overseas thermal power project in charge of operation by the Engineering Bureau, The inspection overhaul of the last unit in the contract will be completed in December 2020, and the project performance has been successfully completed. The completion and operation of the project has effectively alleviated the power shortage in North Sumatra, promoted the local economic development and achieved gratifying economic benefits.

In the whole process of engineering construction and quality assurance period, pangkalansusu project department gives full play to the advantages of general contracting management, constantly innovates and optimizes the scheme, implements fine project management, and actively promotes the "going out" of Chinese standards and made in China. Through the hard work of all parties involved in the construction, the project department has won the full trust and recognition of Indonesia national power corporation. During the construction period of the project, it has set a number of important node records, won the "best performance award", "operation and maintenance performance award" and many other awards from Indonesia National Power Corporation, and won the strong praise of the owner for many times. At the same time, the rapid acquisition of the final handover Certificate (FAC) of the project shows that the owner highly recognizes the EPC contractor.
