In the first half of the year, Guangdong's load demand and electricity growth both exceeded expectations, and the orderly use of electricity was implemented in May. The electricity consumption of the whole society not only did not fluctuate correspondingly, but also achieved an overall substantial growth. This is closely related to many enterprises' flexible and orderly production arrangements to promote the effective release of production capacity by avoiding the peak of electricity consumption. Under the overall tight power supply situation, Guangdong has adopted orderly power utilization measures to achieve the expected goal of "staggering peak without reducing production" or reducing production.
Statistics show that in the first half of this year, the electricity consumption of Guangdong's primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry increased by 15.93%, 24.18% and 30.56% respectively. Judging from the manufacturing industry of the secondary industry, the power consumption of Guangdong's high-tech and equipment manufacturing industry reached 73.350 billion kwh, with a year-on-year growth of 25.72% and an average growth of 10.85% in two years.
According to the analysis of the staff of the new water resources department of the power dispatching and control center of China Southern Power Grid, the average temperature of Guangdong Province in June this year was 28.1 ℃, 0.5 ℃ lower than that of last year, which affected the power consumption of 1.1 billion kWh and reduced the growth rate of power consumption by 1.7%. In this case, Guangdong's power consumption still maintained a 9.0% growth rate in June, and the power demand showed a rising trend, showing the resilience and vitality of Guangdong's economy.
In view of the situation that the growth of power load and power consumption far exceeds the expectation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation has given full play to the role of optimizing the allocation of regional resources platform, tapped the potential inside and outside, flexibly adjusted the surplus and shortage among provinces, tapped the potential of power generating units in Guangdong Province, and carried out market-oriented transactions, which effectively ensured the orderly supply of power in Guangdong Province.
Relevant people from the power dispatching and control center of China Southern Power Grid said that with the increasing inflow of water from the main western river basins and the completion of unit maintenance in Guangdong Province, the power generation capacity in the southern region has increased. According to the load study and judgment, it is expected that Guangdong's power consumption will maintain a rapid growth in the second half of the year. In the next step, China Southern Power Grid will further closely track the trend of weather change, gas and electricity coal supply and load growth in the five southern provinces, optimize the allocation of resources from three aspects of power supply side, power grid side and load side, and spare no effort to ensure power supply（ (Huang Yonghua)
