225 meters high! The cooling tower of this home appliance factory is the highest in the world, setting a Guinness world record!

On July 22, the cooling tower of Guoneng Shengli Power Plant was recognized as the Guinness world record of "the highest cooling tower". Luo Qiong, the Guinness world record certification officer, issued the Guinness World Record Certificate of "the highest cooling tower" on site.
The official organization of Guinness World Records commissioned a third-party professional mapping company to conduct on-site mapping of the cooling tower of Shengli Power Plant. The results showed that the total height of the cooling tower of the plant was 225 meters, 23 meters higher than the 202 meter cooling tower previously held by India, and successfully won the qualification of "the highest cooling tower" Guinness world record.
According to the meteorological conditions of the plant site and the economic parameters of the unit, Shengli Power Plant finally determines the outer edge diameter and total height of the cooling tower. The cooling tower adopts the technology of "two machines, one tower and five towers in one", which is a group company level scientific and technological innovation project. The integrated desulfurization and dust removal system, flue gas water lifting system, wet electrostatic precipitator system and smoke exhaust system are arranged in the tower, which has the advantages of saving on-site land, reducing project cost and operation cost, and is of great significance to improve the profitability of the plant.
