The 500 kV intelligent substation, Shenzhen Yibai (Pingshan) station (hereinafter referred to as Yibai station), was put into operation on the 22nd, with a new substation capacity of 2000 MVA, which will inject a "booster" into the high-quality economic development of Eastern Shenzhen and help optimize the business environment.

The station is a two-level key energy construction project in Guangdong Province and Shenzhen city. It is the first 500 kV power transmission and transformation project put into operation in Shenzhen during the 14th five year plan and the eighth 500 kV Substation in Shenzhen.

The total length of 500 kV 4-circuit line of Yibai station is 114 km, and the total length of 220 kV 12 circuit line is 90 km. After the station is put into operation, it will become an important hub for Shenzhen to accept the new East Guangdong power transmission to Shenzhen and large-scale nuclear power, which is conducive to the power transmission of phase III of Ling'ao nuclear power, effectively improve the power grid structure in Eastern Shenzhen, enhance the ability of the area to resist the risk of large-scale power outage, and provide a more stable and reliable power supply guarantee for Longgang, Pingshan and Dapeng areas in Shenzhen.

Yibai station is the first substation in Shenzhen to adopt fabricated steel structure plant, the first substation to adopt BIM Technology for infrastructure management, and the first substation to realize three-dimensional digital handover of main equipment. At the same time, the station is also the first 500 kV Substation in Shenzhen that uses digital technologies such as analog sampling and optical cable tripping mode.

It is reported that Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid will start the construction of Yibai station in 2020. Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau, together with the design unit, the supervision unit and the construction unit, coordinated and solved the problems in many ways. For example, in the face of the problem of water and soil conservation, the project management center jointly established a QC team with the design and construction units to develop new solutions according to local conditions. Finally, the station overcame the problems affecting the construction period such as epidemic situation, extreme weather and steep terrain, which lasted 385 days, shortened the construction cycle of 6 months compared with the same type of substation, and realized the smooth operation of the project.
